FAQs
What is Vaping?
Vaping describes the use of a vaping device.
From a cigalike, e-cigarette, personal vapourizer to 3rd generation MOD, we stock a huge range of devices.
How do vaping devices work?
Vaping devices all operate in much the same way. A battery powers a coil. The e cigarette coils heats an e liquid (normally containing nicotine). This produces the vapour which is then inhaled.
Why should I vape?
Vaping mimics the sensation, rituals and nicotine levels that smoking provides but without smoke and the huge number of dangerous chemicals found in tobacco products.
Saving money, health reasons and convenience are a few of the reasons that smokers switch to Vaping.
Is vaping safe?
Vaping is not risk free, but far preferable to smoking. Tobacco based cigarettes contain a combination of up to 4000 chemicals which can include carbon monoxide, arsenic and tar. E-cigarettes DON’T!
What device do I need to buy?
This is down to personal preference, Cigalikes and all products in the Starter Kits category give great value for money and satisfaction for the first move away from tobacco products.
Where can I vape?
Whilst not illegal, there are limitations being imposed on the smoking of e-cigarettes in public places. Although one of their many benefits is that they are legal for use indoors, many establishments have decided that the vapour looks too real to allow in their place of business so please check with individual premises before vaping.
Should I vape?
If you’re an adult smoker then Vaping is for you.
Non-smokers should not inhale nicotine in any form as may cause dependence.
If you use or are around Medical Oxygen, please see our safety sheet HERE
What are the ingredients in eliquid?
The liquid in all Vapour products are made up of flavouring, liquid-nicotine (when ordered), vegetable glycerine (VG) and propylene glycol (PG) and manufactured here in the UK.
What is PG or VG?
PG (propylene glycol) and VG (vegetable glyerine, or glycerol) are ingredients in the e-liquid which create the vapour. Both are widely used in a variety of products for human consumption.
PG is associated with a stronger “throat hit” but with less visible vapour, it’s a colourless, nearly odourless, clear, viscous liquid with a faintly sweet taste. Propylene glycol can be found in smoke machines at night clubs and used as a food additive with the E number E1520.
VG produces a much more visible vapour. It’s a carbohydrate that is normally sourced from plant oils. Vegetable glycol can be found in toothpaste for example.
Our e-liquids contain a blend of both ingredients to balance out the characteristics of each. See more HERE
ALL Sub Ohm devices should use a 50/50 PG/VG E liquid or higher VG – High PG in some Sub Ohm tanks, can cause leaks.
Does the vapour smell or leave a smell in the air?
The vapour is odourless and dissipates within seconds. It doesn’t linger unlike cigarette smoke. It doesn’t give you ‘smokers breath’ or leave your hands and clothes smelling of cigarettes either.
What flavour should I start with?
This again is down to personal preference. Many new to vaping start with tobacco to replace the taste sensation of tobacco products although quickly move to other flavours. There is such a wide range to choose from, from fruity to creamy to menthol. In terms of PG/VG, this may be decided based on your vaping device.
What strength eliquid should I buy?
The heavier smoker you are, generally the higher nicotine level e liquid you should start with. The more powerful your device, the less nicotine concentration is needed. The more time you spend vaping, the lower nicotine level e liquids are suggested.
Will I save money?
Yes, without a doubt! Using an electronic cigarette can save you up to 80% of the cost of smoking traditional cigarettes.
Can I quit smoking by vaping?
We cannot guarantee that you will quit smoking by vaping although most of our customers have.
Slowly lowering the nicotine level of your e liquids also enables you to go nicotine free without stress.

My device is not working when I press the button…
Most batteries have a 5 Click to switch on and 5 Click to switch off function. If you think your battery has stopped working, be sure to try the 5 Click method first.
How long do batteries take to charge?
Most batteries come part charged so you can vape immediately after purchase, please fully drain the battery on first use then put on charge until the light turns green. For the initial charge it is recommended to charge for at least 3 hours and then after that the battery should charge fully with 1-4 hours. This can vary between models, and will usually say on the description.
